2010 Mid-South Stocker Conference “Conditions Change, Management Makes the Difference”
February 23-24, 2010 Montgomery Bell State Park Dickson, Tennessee
The Mid-south Stocker Conference is scheduled for February 23 and 24. The Conference will be at Montgomery Bell State Park near Dickson, Tennessee. This will be the fifth annual conference. It is a cooperative effort between the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension and UT Extension. (Brochure)
The Conference will get underway on February 23 with a tour of stocker and market operators in the area as well as a reception and trade show of 20-25 exhibits. The next day will consist of presentations focused on practices that will contribute to reducing costs affiliated with stocker cattle production.
The objective of the Conference the past four years has been to provide producers information that will be helpful to them in their operations. Registration is $95.00 per person. This includes the tour and the reception for the week as well as the educational sermon on February 24. Registration that includes the spouse is $150.00. For veterinarians that attend the continuing education session on February 23 and desire to attend all of the events on February 23 and 24, registration is $150.
Montgomery Bell State Park is conveniently located in easy driving distance of producers in the Upper Mid-South area.
